Miami Heat too much for Los Angeles Lakers

Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh scores 31 to ensure that the defending NBA champions never trail in their win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Miami Heat proved too much for the Los Angeles Lakers, leading all the way for a 109-102 victory in the NBA.

The home side dominated the first half, taking an 11-point advantage into the half-time break, with Chris Bosh finding the target from nine of his 10 shots from the field.

The power forward went on to finish the game with 31 points, while LeBron James also had a busy night, scoring 27 and picking up 13 rebounds.

The Lakers tried to get back into contention after the break, but never managed to take the lead, despite strong shooting efforts from Pau Gasol and Jodie Meeks.

The result means that the Lakers have lost 14 of their last 17 games, while the Heat remain second in the Eastern Conference.
