NBA roundup: Chicago Bulls beat San Antonio Spurs

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Thursday's games in the NBA.

The Chicago Bulls dominated the second half of their game against the San Antonio Spurs, thrashing the current NBA champions.

After a closely-fought first half, the Bulls surged ahead at the start of the second half, outscoring the visitors 31-20 in the third quarter.

Derrick Rose led the scoring for the hosts, finishing the game with 22 points as San Antonio lost for the first time in four games.

The Los Angeles Clippers dominated from the start as the Brooklyn Nets were crushed at the Staples Center.

The home side were 11 points up by the end of the first quarter, while Blake Griffin scored 22 of his 24 points before the break to leave the Clippers 33 points clear at the interval.

Los Angeles sent out their reserves in the second half, but the points kept coming, as the Clippers finished with five players in double figures.

A last-gasp three-pointer from Evan Turner gave the Boston Celtics a narrow win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center.

Damian Lillard had give the home side the lead, but Turner launched the ball towards the net inside the final two seconds to put Boston in front, ending the Celtics' three-game losing streak.

The Utah Jazz held on for a narrow win over the Milwaukee Bucks, who struggled with their shooting in the fourth quarter.

Gordon Hayward added 13 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to put the visitors ahead, after they trailed by two heading into the final 12 minutes.

The Bucks had the ball in the final seconds as they tried to force overtime, but Brandon Knight missed a jump shot, while Zaza Pachulia could not get a tip-in on the buzzer.
