Indiana Pacers' Paul George sets his sights on MVP award

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George outlines his desire to elevate the level of his play to become the NBA MVP in the 2015-16 season.

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George has outlined his ambition to become the NBA MVP for the 2015-16 season.

The 25-year-old sustained a devastating leg injury in the summer of 2014 when participating in a Team USA squad scrimmage, which ruled him out of the majority of last season.

However, George is back to full fitness and has set his sights on establishing himself as the top player in the league in the upcoming campaign.

"I still understand I'm coming off the injury, but I'm trying to block all that out," George told reporters.

"I'm trying to come into this year as if I played last year and had another amazing season. I have the same goal. I wasn't the MVP last year. I want to be the MVP this year. I still want to be efficient."

George has been named an NBA All-Star twice in his five-year career.
