Houston Rocket center Dwight Howard says that he was able to keep his focus despite missing some early shots against the San Antonio Spurs.

Dwight Howard has said that he did not "lose focus" despite making a slow start against the San Antonio Spurs.

The center finished the game with 23 points, helping the Rockets to a 97-90 win.

The 28-year-old told reporters: "I know I missed a lot of shots early. I didn't lose focus. I got a little frustrated because I wanted to make those shots, especially against Tim [Duncan]. But I just tried to stick with it and show the team that no matter what I'm going to battle."

The Rockets travel to the Dallas Mavericks later today.
