James Harden: 'Ty Lawson is focused after spell in rehab'

Houston Rockets star James Harden believes that Ty Lawson is focused on making an impact for the club after a spell in rehab during the off-season.

Houston Rockets star James Harden has revealed that Ty Lawson is determined to get his career back on track after a spell in rehab due to an alcohol problem.

The 27-year-old was forced into rehab after he was arrested for driving under the influence for the second time in six months earlier this year.

The Rockets traded for the services of the point guard from the Denver Nuggets in the off-season, and after speaking with Lawson, Harden is confident that he will produce his best form for his new club.

He told The Houston Chronicle: "He's more focused than ever. He has a great opportunity with a really good team to showcase his talents and help us with that push that we need."

Lawson averaged 15.2 points per game for the Nuggets last season.
