Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday evening's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets for the fourth time this season to extend their unbeaten run at home to 17 games.

There was little between the two sides in the first quarter, but Stephen Curry led the charge in the second as the Rockets were outscored 30-13 before the break, while Klay Thompson kept the points coming in the second half to make sure of a big win for the Western Conference leaders.

The Atlanta Hawks matched their franchise record with a 14th win in a row, thrashing the Indiana Pacers to extend their lead in the Eastern Conference.

The hosts started building their lead in the first half, but it was a dominant third quarter that put the win beyond doubt, with DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague leading the scoring.

The Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning run to four games as they eased to victory over the Utah Jazz.

LeBron James led the scoring with 26, hitting his stride early on to establish a nine-point lead by the end of the first quarter, which Utah never threatened to overturn.

The Charlotte Hornets sealed their eighth win in nine games as they held off a late charge by the Miami Heat.

Kemba Walker and Bismack Biyombo combined for 27 to lead Charlotte to a 15-point advantage before Chris Bosh led the Miami comeback, but the Hornets prevented their opponents from adding a field goal in the last seven minutes.

The Memphis Grizzlies needed a strong fourth-quarter performance to make sure of a win over the Toronto Raptors.

The game was close throughout, but a 13-3 run from the Grizzlies in the fourth quarter put them ahead for good after six changes of lead throughout the meeting.

The Oklahoma City Thunder needed overtime to clinch a narrow win over the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.

Kevin Durant ensured that the sides finished level in regulation, pulling the Thunder back into the game late on, before he and Russell Westbrook added all 13 of their overtime points.

The New York Knicks made it back-to-back wins as they powered past the Philadelphia 76ers just two days after ending their 16-game losing streak.

Carmelo Anthony, who has been hampered with an injury in recent weeks, put his fitness problems behind him as he scored 27 points and made 11 rebounds to lead the team to the win.

The Dallas Mavericks eased to a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to secure their 30th victory of the season.

The visitors pulled away before half time as they cruised to a 23-point lead, led by Chandler Parsons, while Tyson Chandler and Dwight Powell kept pushing in the fourth.

The New Orleans Pelicans saved their best basketball for the fourth quarter as they secured a comfortable win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The first three quarters of the game were closely contested, with the Pelicans just a point up going into the fourth quarter, but Anthony Davis led the late charge as the Lakers faltered, making just four of their 20 shots in the last 12 minutes.

The Detroit Pistons dominated the first half of their game against the Orlando Magic to set up their 12th win in 15 outings.

The home side led by 21 points midway through the third quarter before Orlando started to fight back, but Brandon Jennings and Andre Drummond added a run of late points to seal the victory.

The Phoenix Suns held off a late push from the Portland Trail Blazers to move to a 26-18 record so far this season.

The hosts dominated early on, opening up a 25-point lead midway through the second quarter, but found themselves five behind with just over two minutes to go, before Eric Bledsoe restored their lead on his way to finishing the game with a season-high 33.

The Sacramento Kings fell short as they attempted a fourth-quarter comeback against the Brooklyn Nets.
