Jameer Nelson nearing Dallas Mavericks deal

Free agent point guard Jameer Nelson will reportedly meet with the Dallas Mavericks today in a bid to complete a deal with the team.

The Dallas Mavericks will reportedly meet with Jameer Nelson as the two parties attempt to agree a contract for the 2014-15 NBA season.

The point guard is currently a free agent after coming to the end of a 10-year spell with the Orlando Magic earlier this summer.

According to ESPN, the team believe that they are on track to complete a deal with the 32-year-old once he meets with the team later today.

Nelson featured in 68 regular season games last season, averaging 12.1 points per game.
