The Charlotte Hornets have been dealt a pre-season blow following news that first-round Draft pick Noah Vonleh could be out for between six and eight weeks.

The rookie forward recently underwent surgery to help repair a sports hernia after picking up the injury during a team workout.

Vonleh came in as the ninth overall pick earlier this year, having appeared on the Big Ten Freshman of the Year list last college campaign for Indiana.

The frontman enjoyed an impressive period during his school years, averaging 11.3 points, nine rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 26.5 minutes per game.
