Deron Williams disappointed with "unacceptable" performance

Deron Williams criticises the Brooklyn Nets for failing to match the intensity shown by the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams has claimed that the performance in the defeat to the Orlando Magic was unacceptable.

The Nets beat defending champions the Miami Heat on Friday but failed to produce a similar display on Sunday night as the Magic claimed a 107-86 victory.

"The win against Miami doesn't mean a thing when you come here and lay an egg, which is what we did," the 29-year-old told reporters.

"We knew they were a young team and were going to play hard. We had to be ready to match their intensity and we weren't. They looked like they wanted it more and that is unacceptable."

The Nets have won once and lost twice in their opening three games.
