Dwyane Wade edges Heat victory over Warriors on the buzzer

Miami snapped a six-game home losing streak.

Dwyane Wade claimed a winning three-pointer on the buzzer as the Miami Heat returned to winning ways with a dramatic 126-125 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Despite building a 24-point lead, Miami frittered away their advantage and found themselves behind in the dying moments.

Wade's heroics – which included a 25-point haul and seven rebounds – helped the Heat snap a six-game home losing streak, while Goran Dragic top scored with 27 points against the Western Conference leaders.

LeBron James combined with Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma for 78 points in the Los Angeles Lakers' 125-119 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

James finished with 33 points – 10 assists and six rebounds – Ingram claimed 23 and Kuzma had 22.

The Houston Rockets clinched a third-straight win as they overcame the Charlotte Hornets 118-113, and Eastern Conference leaders the Milwaukee Bucks sealed their sixth win in a row as they edged the Sacramento Kings 141-140 in overtime.

The Atlanta Hawks rallied from 13 points behind in the third period to force an extra period against the Minnesota Timberwolves, eventually triumphing 131-123 in overtime.

Trae Young matched a career high from earlier in the week as he led the way for the Hawks with 36 points.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics were resigned to their fourth-straight loss as the Portland Trail Blazers clinched a 97-92 win.

The San Antonio Spurs held off a late surge by the Detroit Pistons to claim a 105-93 victory and the Dallas Mavericks ended a five-game losing streak by beating the Indiana Pacers 110-101.

Elsewhere, Donovan Mitchell clinched 32 points to lift the Utah Jazz 111-105 over the Los Angeles Clippers, Bradley Beal scored 31 points in the Washington Wizards' 125-116 defeat of the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls recorded a fourth win in five games as they beat the Memphis Grizzlies 109-107.
