Oscar Pistorius failed to reach the final of the 400m at the World Athletics Championships after finishing last in his semi-final race.
The first amputee athlete to race in the competition clocked a time of 45.39 seconds but Pistorius has insisted that he was pleased with his performance in Daegu.
"My biggest goal here was to try and make the semi-final which I was able to do," Pistorius told BBC Radio Five live.
"To have made the final would have been not impossible but it would have taken a miracle.
"It's been a wonderful opportunity. [It was] not as quick as I wanted to be but it's great to have this platform to run on and it's been an unbelievable experience. I'll be back for the relay."
The 24-year-old is a four-time Paralympic champion.
