Great Britain's Jade Jones misses out on a place in the women's T54 400m final after finishing sixth in her heat.

Great Britain's wheelchair racer Jade Jones has failed to secure a place in the women's T54 400m final.

The Brit could only finish sixth in the race with a time of 59.14, which put her out of contention for a qualifying place as one of two fastest losers.

The 16-year-old, who finished seventh in the world championships, started off strong but slipped back after the bend, which allowed Zou Lihong of China to blast to the top of the pack and secure the fastest time of 56.23.

Diane Roy of Canada also qualified in second place, with Finland's Amanda Kotaja securing the third automatic qualifying spot.
