Gemili, who recently won 100m silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, saw the team home in 37.93s, which equalled the best time in Europe this season.

Germany ran a season-best 38.09s for the silver, with France claiming bronze in 38.47s.

Gold for GB means that they are now top of the medal table with just a couple of events remaining in Switzerland.
