Jessica Ennis-Hill to feature at Birmingham Grand Prix

British heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill reveals that she will compete at the Birmingham Grand Prix on June 7.

Jessica Ennis-Hill has claimed that her season is "beginning to take shape" as she continues her preparations ahead of the World Championships.

Earlier this month, the Olympic heptathlon champion made her first appearance for almost two years after giving birth to her first child, and after coming through unscathed in Loughborough last weekend, she has announced that she intends to compete at next month's Birmingham Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old is quoted by Athletics Weekly as saying: "I am really excited to be in a position to announce my participation in the Birmingham Grand Prix. I feel that my season is really beginning to take shape.

"I am loving being back competing. It is such a good feeling and I have had some incredible support from the public who have come to watch."

Ennis-Hill will compete in the 100m hurdles and the shot putt at the meeting at the Alexander Stadium.
