Traffic Report: Transport links congestion expected

Roads and London Underground are expected to be congested during the afternoon of day seven of the Olympic Games.

This afternoon is anticipated to be the busiest of the London Olympics Games.

Roads to and from the Olympic Stadium and Olympic Park will be congested, with over 200,000 spectators expected to attend the athletics and events inside the Olympic Park.

Due to this, passengers are advised to use the District line via West Ham or National Rail from Liverpool Street for a quicker route.

After the disruption of the Central line this morning, London Underground are reporting 'good service' for all lines.

However, congestion is expected on all underground lines so travellers are advised to plan their journey accordingly.

Roads and transport surrounding Coventry's Ricoh Stadium are expected to be busy from 6pm onwards as Team GB face Canada in the women's football quarter-finals.
