Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt has reportedly remarked that the 2014 Commonwealth Games are "a bit shit".

The 27-year-old, who will be taking part in the 4x100m relay and sprint relay for Jamaica in Glasgow, is said to have been standing waiting in the rain after leaving the Athletes' Village when making the passing remark.

A report in The Times claims that when he was asked if was having fun in Scotland he responded, "not really".

Bolt later took to Twitter to deny making these comments, saying: "I'm waking up to this nonsense - journalist please don't create lies to make headlines."

The 4x100m relay heats take place at Hampden Park on Friday night.
