Usain Bolt to retire after 2017 World Championships?

Jamaica sprinter and six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt is to retire from competition after the 2017 World Championships, a UK-based sports reporter claims.

Jamaica sprinter Usain Bolt is to retire from competition after the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London, it has been reported.

The 27-year-old is one of the most successful short-distance athletes of all time, owning six Olympic gold medals and eight World Championship gold medals, as well as the 100m and 200m world records.

Rob Harris, reporter for AP, made the announcement on his Twitter page.


Bolt helped Jamaica to the Commonwealth Games men's 4x100m relay gold medal this evening.
