Zuzana Hejnova retains 400m hurdles title

Czech Republic athlete Zuzana Hejnova runs the fastest time of the year in the 400m hurdle final to retain her title at the World Athletics Championships.

Czech athlete Zuzana Hejnova has successfully defended her 400m hurdles title, cruising to victory in the final at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

Hejnova posted the fastest time of 2015 as she finished the race in 53.50s, leaving American Shamier Little to claim silver ahead of teammate Cassandra Tate.

The 28-year-old finished clear of the field after jumping the final barrier, allowing her to comfortably jog to the line to finish 0.44s ahead of Little.

Britain's Elidh Child did enough to finish sixth.
