Danielle Brown says that defending her title is the "best feeling ever".

Great Britain's open compound archery champion Danielle Brown has admitted that defending her title was the "best feeling ever".

Brown, who beat ParalympicsGB teammate Mel Smith in the final earlier today, said that the pressure of being defending champion makes the victory all the sweeter.

"It's been incredible," she told Channel 4. "The last few times I've been shooting haven't been brilliant and I doubted whether I could do it. To do it is the best feeling ever.

"Mel shot absolutely amazingly and pushed me really hard. It was very tense that match.

"I felt a lot of pressure being defending champion. Everyone expected me to win which does make it a lot harder, so the fact I've come through that I'm chuffed to bits."

Brown's gold was GB's first in the archery in London.
