Jim Haslett excited by defensive prospects at Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett reveals that he is looking forward to working with his defensive squad next season, despite an injury to Jason Hatcher.

Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett has revealed that he is excited about his players this year, despite an injury picked up by Jason Hatcher.

Hatcher, who joined the side from the Dallas Cowboys in a big-money deal, has undergone arthroscopic surgery, but is expected to be ready for the team's summer camp.

"I like our guys. I really do," said coach Haslett, according to the NFL's official website.

""We've got a good group. We've got some versatility to do different things."

Washington will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing in the defensive department last season, where the Skins conceded 29.9 points per game - the second worst in the NFL.
