Philadelphia Eagles hammer Tennessee Titans to maintain perfect home record

The Philadelphia Eagles thrash the Tennessee Titans 43-24 to make it six wins from six at home in the NFL this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made it six wins from six at the Lincoln Financial Field this season courtesy of a comprehensive 43-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans this evening.

The hosts made a perfect start to the match as Josh Huff caught the kickoff and tore down the right touchline for a 107-yard return touchdown with just 13 seconds on the clock.

Darren Sproles added another touchdown shortly afterwards as the Eagles maintained their quick start, the running back driving his way over the line from four yards for his fifth score of the season.

Cody Parkey kicked a 36-yard field goal to put his side into a 17-point lead, but Mark Sanchez then threw an interception to give the Titans a route back into the match.

They took full advantage at the start of the second quarter as Justin Hunter collected Zach Mettenberger's tipped pass before racing in for a 40-yard score.

Parkey converted a second kick shortly afterwards, but Tennessee's second-quarter revival continued when Shonn Greene span over the line to make it 20-14.

LeSean McCoy ensured that the hosts kept the Titans at arm's length with a two-yard score of his own, while Ryan Succop reduced the deficit back to 10 with a field goal in the final minute of the first half.

Once again, the Eagles maintained a measure of control over the match with another score, this time Sanchez picking out James Casey on the move for his first touchdown pass of the night.

Parkey extended his side's lead to 20 points early in the fourth quarter with a 35-yard kick, before adding his fourth of the match shortly afterwards.

The Titans did pull a score back with just under six minutes remaining of the match when Mettenberger found Dexter McCluster, but it was too little too late for the visitors.

Parkey added his fifth field goal of the evening as his side saw out the victory, which leaves them top of the pile in the NFC East with a 8-3 record. The Titans, meanwhile, have now lost five in a row and sit third in the AFC South with a 2-9 record.
