Mike Munchak: 'Tennessee Titans have confidence in Ryan Fitzpatrick'

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak believes that quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has done a good job.

Mike Munchak has said that Ryan Fitzpatrick has done a good job with the Tennessee Titans' offense.

The backup quarterback had to take over from Jake Locker against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week when the starter suffered a season-ending Lisfranc injury.

The head coach told reporters: "He played well. If it wasn't for the drops, I don't know if any one of them would have hit the ground yesterday. He made good decisions, he was checking in and out of plays, he was changing the protections.

"He did a nice job getting the ball to the people in the crossing routes when they were playing man or they were playing zone. I thought when they were playing off the guys did a good job of getting open."

Guard Andy Levitre added: "He's done a good job in there and I think will continue to do that. He's smart and really puts in the time and effort to make sure he knows what's going on [in games], so I have no doubt in my mind that he can do well for us."

Fitzpatrick completed 22 of his 28 passes against the Jaguars for 222 yards and a touchdown.
