Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson believes that he could be the best quarterback ever to play in the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has insisted that he has the potential to become the best player in his position that the NFL has ever seen.

Wilson, who was drafted in the third round in 2012, said that he has a long way to go yet but was pleased with the start that he has made to his career with two seasons as a Seahawks starter.

"Why can't I be the best quarterback to ever play the game one day?" Wilson told ESPN. "I'm not right now. I've got a long way to go. But one day, you know?"

The Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 to win the 2013 Super Bowl.
