Steven Hauschka re-signs with Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka signs a new three-year deal with the club to keep him at CenturyLink Field until the conclusion of the 2016 season.

Kicker Steven Hauschka has signed a new contract with the Seattle Seahawks to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

The 28-year-old has reportedly penned a three-year deal with the Super Bowl champions worth $9.15m (£5.5m).

General manager John Schneider told the club's official website: "We're extremely excited to be able to re-sign Steven, especially after the incredibly successful season that he had.

"He had a great off-season last year and we expect the same this year. He's just extremely solid."

Hauschka made 33 out of the 35 field goals he attempted during the 2013 season.
