Former three-time All-Pro running back Terrell Davis believes that San Francisco 49ers back Frank Gore will continue to dominate in the ground game in the 2014 season.

The 30-year-old had another strong campaign for Jim Harbaugh's side as he surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the seventh time in his career, as he played in every match for the club.

Davis told the 49ers' official website: "I expect him to continue to do what he's been doing, being a guy that once the opportunities are there and he's presented with the ball, he's going to make good on it.

"I don't see anything changing for him this year unless the injuries crop up for him."

Gore rushed for 1,128 yards along with nine touchdowns in the 2013 season.
