San Diego Chargers linebacker Melvin Ingram has been placed on the team's injured reserve designated to return list.

The 25-year-old sustained a hip injury in his side's victory over the Seattle Seahawks last week, in a match where he notched five tackles and a sack.

However, as a result of being place on IR-return, Ingram will not be able to feature again until week 11 of the season for his side's match against the Oakland Raiders, as he recovers from the problem.

The Chargers selected Ingram in the first round of the 2012 Draft.
