Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says that there are no locker room or leadership issues within the team.

Ben Roethlisberger has denied that there are issues within the Pittsburgh Steelers' locker room.

Several players have questioned the leadership within the side after they missed out on the playoffs in 2012.

The two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "For anybody to say there are locker room issues or leadership issues are completely off base.

"I want it to be known there is no locker room issue, there is no leadership issue. Even if guys say it out of frustration, they're trying to find something to say. I think it's important to know we all have each other's back."

The Steelers finished last season with eight wins and eight losses.
