Former quarterback Ron Jaworski has stated that Johnny Manziel will not last long in the NFL if he fails to change the way he plays.
Manziel is a keen runner with the ball out of the pocket, similar to Robert Griffin III, who has suffered a number of injuries in his first two seasons in the league.
The 21-year-old has also received criticism for his attitude recently, giving him much to think about before he debuts for whichever team selects him.
Jaworski said via NBC Sports: "Johnny Manziel is a random quarterback that likes to get out of the pocket and make plays with his legs. But in the NFL, he won't last three games playing that style.
"He'll get hurt. He took a lot of vicious hits at college in two years, and those hits that have that cumulative effect will knock him out of games in the NFL.
"He has developed such a habit of escaping the pocket that an NFL team might not be able to coach it out of him. Also, he doesn't read through his progressions, is careless with the ball and is inconsistent in his mechanics."
Manziel is expected to be a top-three selection when the 2014 NFL Draft takes place in May.
