New York Jets, Miami Dolphins to play divisional game at Wembley in 2015

The NFL announces that three fixtures, including a divisional clash between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, will be held at Wembley in 2015.

The NFL has announced that the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins will play one of their divisional games in the UK at Wembley in 2015.

The Dolphins will host their rivals in London on October 4 next year, while the Jacksonville Jaguars will return to the UK to take on the Buffalo Bills on October 25.

The third and final fixture of 2015 at Wembley will host the clash between Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions on November 1.

NFL's vice-president international Mike Waller said: "We are very appreciative of the outstanding support from our fans in the UK, not only for the games at Wembley, but for all of the related NFL events we have hosted throughout the city.

"We believe we have a great 2015 schedule that will continue to attract new fans to our sport and strengthen the bonds with our existing fans. To provide UK fans the opportunity to see games on consecutive weekends, to see new teams, and to attend a division game, which feature some of the most passionate rivalries in our sport, are signs of the growth and depth of our UK fan base."

He added on Sky Sports News: "We wanted to do a divisional rivalry, so getting the Jets and the Dolphins to kick off the season is huge and then we wanted to do back-to-back games."

The Jets, Chiefs and Bills have never played in the UK before.
