Chris Ivory not surprised by Chris Johnson signing

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory insists that he was not surprised by the team's decision to sign Chris Johnson during the off-season.

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory has insisted that he was not surprised by the team's decision to bring in Chris Johnson this off-season.

Johnson was snapped up by the Jets following his release from the Tennessee Titans in April, despite his new side finishing sixth in the NFL in rushing last season.

However, Ivory, who led the Jets in rushing with 833 yards last year, insists that Johnson's addition is a good thing for the team as it gives them an additional offensive weapon.

"Why would it surprise me? It's just another guy on the team with great talent, and somebody that can add diversity to the team, and just give us another weapon, added explosiveness to what we have," Ivory told reporters.

Johnson is a three-time Pro Bowler and one of only six players to have run for at least 1,000 yards in each of his first six years in the league.
