Quarterback Seneca Wallace signs a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Seneca Wallace has signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.

The quarterback will compete with Luke McCown to be backup to starter Drew Brees during the 2013 NFL season.

The 32-year-old had workouts with the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders earlier this month, but neither agreed a contract with Wallace.

Wallace previously had spells at the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks.
