Tom Brady: Peyton Manning rivalry is "special"

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady feels that his rivalry with Peyton Manning is "pretty special" as the duo face off for the 16th time this Sunday.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady believes that his rivalry with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is "pretty special".

Brady and Manning are poised to face off against each other for the 16th time in their careers, with the Patriots' man holding a 10-5 record against the 38-year-old.

The three-time All-Pro has admitted that as he and Manning get towards the end of their time in the NFL, the matches have become even more important.

"Five, six years ago you don't think about those things," Brady told WEEI. "But as you mature a little bit and realise this could always be the last one, then you do. It's pretty special.

"[Manning has] been one of the greatest players to ever play. I've been fortunate to share a field with one of the best players that has ever played the game. And every time we play a Peyton Manning-led team, it comes down to the wire. Everything is usually at stake."

The Patriots go into their clash against the Broncos with a 6-2 record following their 51-23 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
