Tom Brady eases injury concerns

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady refutes claims that he is carrying an injury to his right hand.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has eased concerns over a reported hand injury.

Pictures showed Brady with what looked like a swollen right hand during his side's 27-17 win over the Miami Dolphins yesterday, a match which saw the veteran quarterback make just 59 yards on offence in the first half before the Patriots launched a second-half fightback.

However, despite the speculation, Brady insists that he is not carrying an injury and will be fit to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

"My hand is perfect. I'll be out there next week. For the eighth week of the year, I feel awesome," Brady told the Associated Press.

The Patriots were booed off at half time following a poor offensive showing, but Brady believes that his side's record this season is good.

"I know a lot of people are frustrated, [but] to be 6-2 is not bad," he added.

The Patriots are currently top of the AFC East.
