Minnesota Vikings OC Norv Turner: 'Teddy Bridgewater can become a top quarterback'

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner believes that the club have a "top flight" quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater following his promising rookie season.

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner has backed Teddy Bridgewater to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

The 22-year-old had a solid rookie campaign for the NFC North side in the 2014 season, despite being without All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson for the majority of the year.

Turner is optimistic that Bridgewater can continue to develop to join the elite signal-callers in the league.

"The one evaluation we care about is ours," Turner told reporters. "And based on where we got to last year and where we think we're going, I think we have a top flight quarterback."

Bridgewater threw for 2,919 yards and 14 touchdowns to 12 interceptions in the 2014 season.
