Report: Adrian Peterson to miss Minnesota Vikings' OTAs

A report suggests that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will not attend the start of his side's organised team activities.

Adrian Peterson will not report to the Minnesota Vikings for their organised team activities this week, according to a report.

The 30-year-old was suspended for the majority of the season by the NFL after filing a no contest plea of causing reckless or negligent injury to his four-year old son, but was later reinstated by the NFL after US District Court Judge David Doty overturned their decision.

Peterson was said to be unhappy with the club for their handling of the situation, along with his contract, and was linked with a trade deal away, with the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals reportedly interested in the 2012 MVP.

However, the Vikings outlined their desire to keep Peterson on their roster, but he has responded by taking the stance to hold out on their OTAs, according to NFL Network.

Peterson has rushed for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns in his eight-year NFL career.
