Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is fined for altering his uniform without permission.

Chris Kluwe has been fined $5,250 (£3,256) for breaching the NFL's uniform rules.

The Minnesota Vikings punter covered the patch on his jersey commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Hall of Fame with a post-it note reading "vote for Ray Guy".

Kluwe tweeted: "My favorite part of the fine email from the NFL, they end it with 'sincerely.' It's the little touches that let you know they care.

"The good news is all the money goes to support former players through the NFL charity programs. Maybe they'll vote for Ray Guy.

"Fine amount was standard for a first time uniform violation, $5,250. I knew the potential consequences going in. Don't cry for me Argentina."

Kluwe is unhappy that no punters have ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame, despite Guy appearing in seven Pro Bowls and featuring in three Super Bowl winning sides.
