Everson Griffen 'promises Minnesota Vikings win against Detroit Lions'

Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen believes that Minnesota are a good team and will improve in their divisional match-up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen has backed his team to show how good they are against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

The Vikings lost 20-3 against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, and Griffen believes that the loss was tough for the team to take.

The 27-year-old feels that he is part of a quality team and promised that the Vikings would bounce back to beat the Lions.

Griffen told reporters: "We are a good team. We practise like a good team each and every day. I don't know what that showing was.

"I'm very angry right now as you can see, because we prepared way too hard. But we're going to go out there and get it [against Detroit]."

Griffen started all 16 games for the first time last season, making 57 tackles and 12 sacks.
