Report: Mike Pouncey agrees new five-year deal with Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly set to make Mike Pouncey the highest paid center in the league.

Pro Bowl centre Mike Pouncey has agreed a new five-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to reports.

The 2011 first-round pick was set to enter a fifth-year option attached to his rookie contract, which is valued at just over £5m a year.

However, NFL Media reports that Pouncey has agreed terms on a new five-year deal worth in excess of £34.1m and is expected to sign it early next week.

The 25-year-old played 12 times for the Dolphins last season.
