Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeaten with victory over Tennessee Titans

The Kansas City maintain their unbeaten record this season with a 26-17 win over the Tennessee Titans at LP Field.

The Kansas City Chiefs recorded their fifth win of the NFL season as they maintained their unbeaten record with victory over the Tennessee Titans.

The Chiefs began their drive well as they moved into the Titans half of the field, but their momentum was stopped by the Titans' defense before they could move into the red zone forcing them to punt.

However, this punt proved to be crucial as Dustin Colquitt's kick hit the heel of Titans' receiver Damian Williams and rolled into the end zone, where Chief's cornerback Marcus Cooper ran onto it to score a touchdown.

The Chiefs extended their lead when Ryan Succop knocked 29-yard field goal through the posts after Alex Smith and his offense could not punch the ball into the end zone.

Tennessee moved the ball well in their response to going 10 points behind but when they got to the one-yard line, they could not get the ball into the end zone. But instead of settling for a field goal, they went for it on fourth down and Jackie Battle was stopped by the Chiefs' defense.

Just before the break Succop extended Andy Reid's side with another kick through the posts.

After half time the Titans got themselves back in the game through a slightly fortunate play. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick looked to be going down for a sack but he got the ball out to Chris Johnson with a flick and the running back ran 49 yards for the score.

Rob Bironas pulled his team to within three points of the Chiefs when he nailed a kick from 22 yards after a drive from his side stalled in the red zone.

It got better for the home side when Fitzpatrick orchestrated a lengthy drive that resulted in a touchdown as the quarterback faked a throw but instead ran in for the score himself for nine yards.

However, the Chiefs responded as Smith methodically moved his offense to the red zone which resulted in Jamaal Charles powering into the endz one for a one-yard score.

Kansas City put themselves out of sight with two late field goals from Succop as they continue to remain unbeaten under Andy Reid this season.
