Indianapolis Colts fear torn Achilles for Vick Ballard

Indianapolis Colts running back Vick Ballard is believed to have suffered a fresh injury setback and torn his Achilles during a training camp practice with the team.

Vick Ballard's return from a knee ligament injury has suffered a setback after he sustained what is feared to be an Achilles tear in training camp.

The Indianapolis Colts running back missed the majority of the 2013 campaign after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament, and collapsed in pain after catching a pass in practice yesterday.

ESPN claims that the AFC South champions believe that the 24-year-old has torn his Achilles, and that he will likely miss the entire 2014 season while recovering from surgery.

Ballard made an impact in his rookie season, rushing for 814 yards and scoring two touchdowns, but was injured in the opening week of the campaign last year.
