LaVon Brazill released by Indianapolis Colts

Wide receiver LaVon Brazill is released by the Indianapolis Colts a week after being suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that they have waived wide receiver LaVon Brazill after two seasons with the team.

The 25-year-old was suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse last week.

Brazill, who also missed the start of the 2013 campaign through suspension, was drafted by the Colts in 2012. He had 23 receptions and three touchdowns during his 25 games for the AFC South side.

The Colts signed free agent wide receiver Aaron Burks to take Brazill's place on the roster.
