Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is adamant that Matt Schaub is still his side's starting quarterback despite Case Keenum's impressive debut.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has insisted that Matt Schaub remains his side's starting quarterback despite a solid performance from Case Keenum in his first NFL start.

Keenum threw for one touchdown and had a passer rating of over 100 against the Kansas City Chiefs - who boast the best defense in the NFL - in his side's narrow defeat on Sunday.

"Matt's our starting quarterback," Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle. "Case played this week."

The Texans are 2-5 in their season following their defeat to the Chiefs.
