Aaron Rodgers: 'I didn't deliver greatness'

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is disappointed that he didn't deliver the "greatness" that his team "expects" during last Sunday's playoff defeat.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has expressed his disappointment at not having delivered the "greatness" that the team "expects" from him.

Rodgers threw for just 177 yards with one touchdown during his side's 23-20 playoff defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, his lowest yardage total in a full game since 2012.

The 2011 NFL MVP did look back fondly on certain moments, such as his match-winning 48-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb in the final minute of the season finale against the Chicago Bears, but he admitted that he was unhappy with how the season ended.

"The team expects greatness out of me every week. They didn't get it on Sunday, so I'm disappointed about that. There's still something special about the way it ended in the regular season. Every time I see Randall I can't help but think with a smile the memories there with the Chicago game," Rodgers told ESPN.

"I think we're going to look back at that and be proud of how we finished, but obviously you think about what could have been with the number of injuries we had and the opportunity to host a home playoff game and to win that football game.

"We're always going to look on offense what we could've done better. If you would've told our offence before the game the defence was going to hold them to 23 points, I think everybody in there would've said we're going to win that game."

Rodgers missed a large chunk of the regular season with a broken collarbone, eventually returning to the side for the final game against the Bears.
