Green Bay Packers cornerback Casey Hayward will be out for the first month of the season, according to a report.

Hayward has already been ruled out of the Packers' first game of the campaign against the San Francisco 49ers, but it is feared he could miss more time.

The 23-year-old injured his hamstring during Mike McCarthy's side's pre-season campaign and will be out of his side's games against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Redskins, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Hayward had an excellent rookie season in the NFL as he had six interceptions in 16 games.
