Half-Time Report: Green Bay punishing below-par Vikings

Green Bay Packers dominate the first half at Lambeau Field to earn a 28-0 lead over the Minnesota Vikings.

A fast start from Aaron Rodgers has handed the Green Bay Packers a 21-0 lead over the Minnesota Vikings at the halfway stage of their game at Lambeau Field.

Both sides started with opening drives which resulted in punts, before the Packers kicked off the scoring when Rodgers picked out Randall Cobb with a short pass for the first touchdown.

Green Bay continued to look solid defensively, and made it count at the other end of the field when Rodgers unleashed a 66-yard pass to set up Jordy Nelson, who accepted the gift to extend his side's advantage.

Christian Ponder, filling in at quarterback for the injured Teddy Bridgewater, was unable to produce a response from the Vikings as their struggles continued throughout the first half.

The misery would be piled on Minnesota in the second quarter, with Julius Peppers intercepting a wayward pass from Ponder before running over from 48 yards for Green Bay's third touchdown.

Wide receiver Davante Adams got in on the act before the interval as he linked up with Rodgers to put the Packers on the brink of victory.
