Ndamukong Suh has described the Detroit Lions' pre-season win over the New England Patriots as a "good start".
The NFC North side forced four early turnovers to take control of the game, going on to win 40-9 at Ford Field last night.
The defensive tackle told the team's website: "It's a good start. We haven't done it as much in the previous year and in the first two pre-season games, so it's a good start, especially in an important game.
"There's been a big emphasis on it from the standpoint of the players. We want to make plays and get the ball back and that's really how we want to feed off each other."
The Lions went from securing a playoff place in 2011 to finishing last in their division last season with four wins and 12 defeats.
