NFL roundup: Patriots, Redskins, Chiefs win final pre-season games

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the final round of pre-season games in the NFL.

Tim Tebow found Quentin Sims twice in the fourth quarter to help the New England Patriots come from behind to beat the New York Giants.

Hakeem Nicks and Da'Rel Scott added touchdowns for the Giants before the home side added 14 points in the last 15 minutes.

The Washington Redskins finish the pre-season unbeaten following their 30-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pat White passed for 181 yards and rushed for a touchdown, while Evan Royster also found the end zone.

Tyler Bray threw three touchdown passes for the Kansas City Chiefs as they thrashed the Green Bay Packers.

Vince Young started in place of Aaron Rodgers for the Packers, completing fewer than half of his attempts and fumbling twice.

The Miami Dolphins narrowly beat the New Orleans Saints thanks to a late touchdown from Marvin McNutt.

With both sides resting their starting quarterbacks, Dolphins third-stringer Pat Devlin found the wide receiver with a 56-yard pass with just over three minutes left to play.

The Houston Texans won the Texas bragging rights with a 24-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

The AFC South side scored three touchdowns while restricting their opponents to just two field goals.

Kahlil Bell scored two touchdowns for the New York Jets in their 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Matt Simms led the team in passing, completing 33 of his 44 attempts for 285 yards.

The Atlanta Falcons head into the regular season without a pre-season win after losing 20-16 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jordan Todman got the Jaguars on the board in the first quarter before Jeremy Ebert hauled in a 13-yard pass from Mike Kafta.

A late field goal helped the Cleveland Browns to an 18-16 win over the Chicago Bears.

The NFC North side led 13-3 before James-Michael Johnson returned an interception for a touchdown and Dan Gronkowski caught a Brian Hoyer pass in the end zone.

Ted Ginn Jr scored two touchdowns for 149 receiving yards to help the Carolina Panthers to a 25-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rookie quarterback Landry Jones played the full game for the Steelers, completing 16 of 35 attempts for 189 yards and three interception, leaving the AFC North side without a win in pre-season.

The San Francisco 49ers comfortably beat the San Diego Chargers in their final game of the pre-season.

Kicker Nick Novak scored all of the Chargers' points, while the Super Bowl runners-up added five touchdowns.

Shaun Hill and Kellen Moore both completed two touchdown passes for the Detroit Lions in their win over the Buffalo Bills.

Rookie running back Theo Riddick added the NFC North side's only rushing touchdown of the game, while Thaddeus Lewis found Marcus Easley in the fourth quarter to give the Bills a late consolation.

Starting quarterback Andy Dalton led the Cincinnati Bengals to a touchdown on his only drive of the game as the team beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-10.

The AFC South side rested Andrew Luck, but Chandler Harnish completed a pass to tight end Dominique Jones for the Colts' only touchdown.

Ryan Lindley completed two touchdown passes as the Arizona Cardinals beat the Denver Broncos 32-24.

The quarterback completed 214 passing yards, while Ryan Williams and Stepfan Taylor also rushed for touchdowns.

The Minnesota Vikings beat the Tennessee Titans by a single point to secure their first win of the pre-season.

Marcus Sherels returned a kickoff 109 yards for a touchdown before Blair Walsh kicked a field goal late on.

The St Louis Rams won for the first time this pre-season, beating the Baltimore Ravens 24-21.

Nick Johnson and Chase Reynolds both found the end zone in the fourth quarter for the NFC West side.

The Seattle Seahawks ended their pre-season with a 100% record, beating the Oakland Raiders 22-6.

Tavaris Jackson started at quarterback for the NFC West team, completing 12 of 17 attempts for 119 yards, while Robert Turbin scored the game's only touchdown with a three-yard run.
