Peyton Manning: 'Denver Broncos had to keep scoring'

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning believes that it was important for the team to keep scoring against the Baltimore Ravens last night.

Peyton Manning has said that the Denver Broncos had to keep scoring during their 49-27 win over the Baltimore Ravens last night.

The quarterback completed seven touchdown passes during the victory, tying the NFL record in the process.

The 37-year-old told reporters: "It's fun to play quarterback when you have a lot of guys working hard and making a lot of plays for you.

"You never know what is going to happen in a game. I felt like we had to keep scoring. Baltimore is an explosive offense and our defense never relaxed. They kept bringing the heat.

"It was certainly an exciting atmosphere any time you can open up an NFL season, the crowd was awesome. They were into it. They stayed with us when we were going through a little lull there in the beginning. We wanted to get something going."

The Broncos play the New York Giants next weekend.
