Ronnie Hillman aiming for starting role with Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman wants to start the first game of the 2013 NFL season.

Ronnie Hillman has said that he wants to be starting for the Denver Broncos in the opening game of the 2013 NFL season.

The 21-year-old faces competition for a place in the team from four-year veteran Knowshon Moreno and rookie Montee Ball.

The running back told The Denver Post: "Come the opener, I want to be the guy back there. I can't lie. I want it to be me and I'm pushing to be that guy.

"I know it's about production, that I have to produce to be in there.That's how they'll decide, who's producing."

Hillman had 83 carries in the 2012 season, rushing for 330 yards and scoring one touchdown.
