Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reveals that defensive end DeMarcus Ware is ready to return from the thigh injury that has seen him miss the last three games.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has revealed that defensive end DeMarcus Ware is ready to return from injury.

Ware has missed the last three games with a thigh injury having previously played 134 consecutive matches before being sidelined.

Jones admitted that he was wary of the seven-time Pro Bowler returning too early, fearing that he could re-injure himself, but believes that the 31-year-old will be fit to play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

"I think he's ready. I'm going to call it, made an investment into the future and the latter part of the season to be conservative on how fast we put him out there," Jones told KRLD-FM.

The Cowboys are currently top of the NFC East with a 5-4 record following their late win against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.
